2 Broughton Street, Canterbury demonstrates the ability of a+ design group to overcome site constraints. Located adjacent to a railway reserve where portion of land cannot be developed, a+ design group have turned a limiting condition into a vibrant public boulevard for the community.
The approach to the façade design entails a series of vertical blades providing an anchorage to the built form, also creating a sense of weight and stability. Furthermore, the building along Broughton Street has been broken down into distinct elements to provide articulation to the building facade.
