a+ design group has been invited to unlock the potential of the current Raine Square precinct, in the heart of Perth. We have been fortunate enough to be chosen to oversee the future of this exciting development. Perth is undergoing two large revitalisation projects, Elizabeth Quay and The City Link, the vision being to connect Northbridge to the city. Raine Square is situated between these two major upgrades and also perpendicular to King Street, an exclusive shopping area. This presented a fantastic opportunity to harness the future city links and designer retail hubs to the newly activated Raine Square.

Our vision was to focus our concept on integrating the currently insulated footprint in to the grain of the current street network, create visual connections enticing people inside and increase the street presence. This will be a whole new shopping experience for this presently hidden gem. We will introduce a new plaza, grand entrances, a fi ve star hotel and a sculptural sky canopy. Along with retail activation and current assets renewal, the wow factor has been injected in to this landmark destination.

9-25 Commonwealth St, Surry Hills

This exciting new development connects the heart of Sydney’s CBD to the fashionable Surry Hills district. Designed by Architect, Tony Leung, A+ Design Group, the design is about the idea of ‘place making’, creating a meaningful public domain, combined with a sleek addition to the CBD skyline. This palatial building consists of 32 levels of generous apartments, a fitness centre and 4 lower levels of retail. There is laneway activation at the base adding to the public domain and connecting to Surry Hills. This has all been topped off with a landscaped roof garden with a luxurious infinity pool.
