he St Leonards South Precinct is a landmark urban renewal initiative on Sydney’s Lower North Shore, designed to transform the area into a vibrant, inclusive, and highly liveable residential community. Guided by Lane Cove Council’s vision and delivered with design leadership by Aplus Design Group, the masterplan integrates housing diversity, sustainable urban design, and high-quality public realm outcomes. The precinct offers a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom residential apartments, with dedicated affordable housing provided to Council in perpetuity.

A cornerstone of the precinct’s planning controls is the mandatory Design Excellence process, ensuring all development meets high sustainability standards, architectural integrity, and thoughtful integration with the surrounding environment. The project also includes two key community facilities, open recreation areas, new road connections, and extensive east-west pedestrian links, all coordinated through collaborative delivery between Council and developers.
